Education & Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of North Texas and a Master of Science in Counseling from East Texas A&M University. I am currently pursuing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am trained in trauma-informed care and crisis care.
My professional background includes over a decade of experience in public education, where I have supported students, served as department chair, and mentored early-career professionals during pivotal stages of growth and development.
Before my career in education, I worked alongside local physicians’ networks, assisting medical staff with clinical operations and administrative support. I also worked in the supplement and nutrition industry for several years. These experiences have shaped my holistic, collaborative approach to care and deepened my understanding of the connection between mind and body.
I previously worked at the Harold Murphy Counseling Center in Richardson and McKinney, where I provided counseling services to families, educators, and professionals experiencing various forms of trauma, relational issues, and burnout. I am passionate about creating a supportive, respectful space where clients feel empowered to work toward meaningful and lasting change.
Personal Focus
I am passionate about helping clients connect with their inner experience by creating a warm, safe space for change and offering accurate, compassionate reflections that support growth. I bring a strong practical understanding of human biology, a deep passion for the counseling process, and a well-timed sense of humor that helps create ease and connection when it matters most. If you’re looking for someone to travel alongside you on your journey, I’m ready.
