I want to…
Introduction
I specialize in trauma therapy and EMDR, working with adolescents, adults, individuals, and parents impacted by trauma, attachment injuries, and relational or family system challenges. My work includes both developmental trauma and single-incident trauma, as well as support for individuals and families navigating addiction, emotional dysregulation, and complex relational dynamics.
Many of my clients are highly self-aware but still feel stuck in painful emotional, relational, or behavioral patterns. Insight alone often isn’t enough for change—especially when those patterns are rooted in trauma, attachment wounds, enmeshment, or early family experiences.
I work with clients navigating:
Trauma and PTSD (developmental trauma or single-incident trauma)
Betrayal Trauma
Parenting challenges and parent-child relational repair
Attachment injuries and relational trauma
Addiction and families impacted by addiction
Betrayal trauma and partner relational trauma
Parental enmeshment and family-of-origin issues
Generational and developmental trauma
Anxiety and depression
Domestic violence and relationship concerns
In sessions, we build awareness of your internal experience using somatic interventions and often art therapy. This helps create space for real experiential change, moving beyond understanding into regulation, healing, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Together, we explore how past experiences shape present patterns while staying grounded in what you are currently feeling and facing. We identify what no longer serves you and begin building new internal and relational experiences that support stability, connection, and long-term change.
In addition to individual therapy, I provide parent coaching and facilitate a parenting group focused on strengthening attachment, improving emotional attunement, and supporting healthier family dynamics.
Education & Experience
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Southern Methodist University, specializing in trauma and addiction counseling, and my Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, where I studied Animal Science with a minor in Business.
I am fully trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have advanced training in trauma-focused and attachment-based therapies. I have also trained with Dr. Ken Adams, PhD, in parental enmeshment and have co-facilitated enmeshment workshops with Erin Wysong-Warren, LPC-S.
Additionally, I have co-facilitated betrayal trauma groups for partners of individuals struggling with sexual addiction alongside Erin Wysong-Warren, LPC-S, CSAT-S, CPTT-S, and Lauren Davis, LPC-Associate, CCPS-Candidate.
My clinical work includes supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma recovery, addiction recovery, attachment repair, and complex relational systems.
Personal Focus
Growing up in a family impacted by addiction, I understand firsthand how deeply trauma and addiction affect not only the individual but the entire family system. I also understand the layers of fear, shame, confusion, and stigma that can accompany these experiences.
My own healing process through therapy allowed me to reconnect with my voice, rebuild a sense of autonomy, and experience meaningful internal change. That lived experience informs how I show up as a therapist. I aim to create a grounded, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where clients can safely explore their story and begin to shift long-standing patterns.
I believe healing happens not only through insight, but through new lived emotional and relational experiences within the self and in connection with others. My goal is to help clients move beyond survival-based patterns into a more regulated, connected, and empowered way of living.
When I’m not working, I enjoy Pilates, reading, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
