Education & Experience

After earning my Bachelor's in Psychology at Penn State University, I dedicated the next eight years to honing my skills in various mental health areas, including disability, trauma, and eating and mood disorders. As I pursue my Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree specializing in marriage and family at Southern Methodist University, my passion lies in working with families, couples, and individuals. I am qualified to counsel under the direct supervision of staff and faculty at Southern Methodist University’s Counseling Program, as well as Erin Wysong-Warren, Founding Owner and Clinical Director at IRR.

My journey has equipped me with valuable experience and a diverse skill set to address the unique challenges individuals and those in relationships face. I am committed to providing support in a compassionate and tailored manner, understanding the complexities that come with a variety of needs. As I continue my education, my goal is to extend my expertise to positively impact the well-being of those I serve. I am excited to embark on this journey, offering a secure and collaborative space for growth and healing in family, couples, and individual therapy.

Personal Focus

Toni Morrison profoundly said, "If you surrender to the wind, you can ride it," which encapsulates a powerful philosophy that aligns with my perspective. Morrison suggests strength in embracing life's forces rather than resisting them. This surrender is not a sign of weakness but, rather, a recognition of the dynamic and ever-changing nature of existence.

In the context of therapeutic work, this philosophy has become a guiding principle for me. It fosters a mindset that embraces the gentle ebb and flow of experiences, challenges, and emotions, creating a serene space for exploration and growth. By surrendering to the winds of life, individuals can navigate their journeys with resilience and adaptability, ultimately nurturing a more profound insight into themselves and their potential for personal growth.
