Education & Experience

I'm passionate about helping couples experiencing betrayal trauma and addiction to restore or create a secure attachment. My approach is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based modality that allows me to track the negative interaction cycle and patterns that cause distress and result in insecure attachment and disconnection. With EFT, I gently guide the couple to explore themselves and their partner, learn to emotionally regulate, and cope with negative feelings in more healthy ways. In addition to EFT, I'm also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and can provide researched-based techniques for clients experiencing trauma and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

I work closely with a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT), and have direct experience working with partners dealing with betrayal trauma and sex addiction. I recently trained to become a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist Candidate (CPTT-C). My experience includes assisting betrayed partners prepare for a formal disclosure, creating boundary plans, receiving and communicating polygraph results, as well as co-facilitating groups for betrayed partners of sex addiction or infidelity.

My warm, empathetic approach, combined with my diverse cultural background and experience as a mother, enables me to connect with individuals and couples on a deep level. I understand the challenges families face today, and I'm here to help. If you're ready to take a step toward the healing that you deserve, please don't hesitate to contact me for a free initial call.

Personal Focus

My mission is to help couples navigate the intricate and often turbulent dynamics that can arise in relationships. With specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and EMDR, I explore negative interaction patterns that cause distress and offer a collaborative and warm approach to address generational trauma and emotional patterns. Although pain and suffering are inevitable, I believe that couples have the power to mitigate their suffering over time and build a strong, healthy, and loving relationship that can withstand life's challenges.
