I want to…
Introduction
You might be someone who’s pretty self-aware and has spent a lot of time thinking about your patterns, your relationships, and why you do what you do. But despite that awareness, the same things keep happening. Whether it’s anxiety, relationship dynamics, or ways of coping that don’t feel good, it can be frustrating when insight alone doesn’t lead to real change.
I work with people who feel stuck in their patterns, especially those rooted in earlier experiences, relationships, or unmet emotional needs. This can show up as anxiety, disconnection, relationship struggles, or a sense that something isn’t quite right, even when things look okay on the outside.

My approach to therapy is experiential. This means we work directly with the emotional patterns underneath what you’re experiencing, not just talking about them, but accessing and changing them where they actually live.
I draw from Coherence Therapy, Schema Therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychosynthesis to support this process. I ground my approach in the research on how the brain updates emotional learning. In practice, this means we’re not just understanding your patterns, we’re working to change them at the level they were formed.
Education and Experience
I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and hold a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University, where I focused on trauma studies.
My clinical experience includes:
Counseling individuals in correctional settings on mental health and rehabilitation
Facilitating group therapy in Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Outpatient (OP), and sober living
Providing individual therapy for clients with complex or long-standing challenges
Supporting adults, adolescents, and families at the SMU Center for Family Counseling
I also currently provide mental health advising for fraternities and other young adult organizations, with an emphasis on mental health culture, leadership integrity, and peer accountability. My research interests include the role of rites of passage in development and the potential for growth within male group environments.
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin through the Plan II Honors Program, with a minor in Kinesiology and Health Education. As a former chapter president of Sigma Alpha Mu, I bring lived experience and insight into the dynamics of fraternity life, which informs my work with emerging adult men and student leaders.
Personal Focus
Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and sometimes challenging. I encourage honesty and reflection as we work towards the changes you want to see.
We’ll pay attention to the patterns that keep showing up and work with them directly, not just talk around them. Over time, this allows for change that lasts and comes from within.
We might be a good fit if you are open, curious, and willing to look at things in a deeper way, even if that feels unfamiliar at first.
If this feels like a fit, reach out and we can talk.
