I want to…
Introduction
I specialize in helping those facing challenges such as:
Trauma and addiction
PTSD (Particularly first responders and veterans)
Unhealthy attachment styles
Generational and developmental trauma
Anxiety and depression
Domestic violence or other relationship concerns
In our sessions, I take a holistic approach that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit–whatever that may look like for you. Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences shape your present self, while staying grounded in what you're currently feeling and facing. By examining your thoughts, behaviors, and patterns, we’ll identify what’s serving you and what’s holding you back. From there, we’ll work collaboratively to create meaningful, actionable change that supports your growth and prepares you for the future.
Education & Experience
I am a graduate-level counseling student intern at Southern Methodist University, specializing in trauma and addiction, working under the supervision of Erin Wysong-Warren, LPC-S, and Southern Methodist University faculty. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and majored in Animal Science with a minor in Business. I am currently the president of the Students in Addiction Studies organization. My formal education has prepared me to counsel adults and adolescents with an array of challenges.
Personal Focus
Growing up in a family affected by addiction, I have seen firsthand the impact it can have not only on the individual but also on their loved ones. Due to my experiences, I have sought counseling at various points in my life. Because of this, I understand the fears, shame, stigma, and guilt that often come with coping with trauma, and I know how hard it can be to heal.
However, through therapy, I was able to regain my voice and autonomy. Because of this transformative experience and post-traumatic growth, I now understand the beauty that can come from challenging circumstances. My experience receiving professional support drives my belief in creating a safe space where you can be yourself, be genuine, and share freely.
When not at work, I can be found at Pilates, reading, hiking, or doing something outdoors or nature-related.
